st pete doc?

I applied for medicaid and I'm still waiting to hear from them. I made an appt at a pregnancy center two weeks ago and when I got there they were no help out all. They just confirmed that I was pregnant and said they only do ultrasounds on very select people . So when I left there I made an appt at another doc office and went there today, I got there at 9 this morning, they didnt call me into a room until right after 11, and when I got in the room the midwife told me they dont start seeing their patients until they are 10 weeks pregnant, even though I'm right at 9 weeks now. So instead of doing whatever they do a week early and instead of scheduling the appt for next week they scheduled it for 2 weeks away. So I'm really upset that I sat there for 2 hours for them to tell me they cant see me. I've been having some concerns with this pregnancy and I really want to see a doc now. Besides just going to the ER does anyone know of a good doc that will see me now that is either super affordable or that will see me free of charge while waiting for medicaid to get approved?

You can try calling the Health Department for a list of OBs who will see you while your case is pending, or you can just wait it out, which is what I did. I know it's tough to wait, but 9 weeks is still early for OB visits. Once you do get approval, I highly recommend All Children's Ob/Gyn. That's who I've been seeing, and they're awesome!
