So my hubby has decided NOW that he wants to make our daughter's middle name start with "J", to continue his family's tradition of J middle names. (He tells me this NOW after we've been working on other names this whole time -______- thanks hubby)
I told him I don't mind continuing that tradition, as long as we find something we can agree on. He wants it to be a short J name, as Thai people usually have a short middle "nickname" (such as Jack, Joe, Hut, Nat, Nee etc..you get the idea)...
He suggested Jane...which I am not fond of. Nothing against the name, but it doesn't do much for me when I actually say it out loud. He knows I'm not fond of it and said he'll try to think of some others...
Please please pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase give me some suggestions! I haven't looked at many J names at all this whole time because I'm not really into J names!
Now I have to go back through all my baby name lists and find some good ones..but I thought I'd ask here too if anyone has any nice suggestions. ![]()
Re: "J" Name suggestions please! (For a girl)
LOL. if you watch 19 kids and counting, you would be ALL set with middle "J" names! hehe (a few diff ones).
Jill
Josie
Jessa
Jess
Jen
Well we used Jane for Cameron's middle name but..
Jess
Jenna
Jill
Jade
Jamie
Julie
Jackie
and after 82 days in the NICU, our little girl is home!
I like Jade
LOL I was gonna say "Ask the Duggars!"
REALLY?! I don't watch that show~ maybe I should LOL

Would anything on the Duggar's list work?
If you're not that into "J" names stand your ground. It's your baby too and obviously you're doing most of the work right now;).
Jossilin was my first thought but obviously it's too long...
I like Joey for a girl (Josephine)---I know lots of people hate it though.
Jean
Joy
Jill
Jana
Nope - no J names on my side! Just my brother - Joshua
and my dad's middle name, James...If LO was a boy then I would be happy using James, but since it's a girl, I'm totally stumped! My hubby's nickname/middle name is Jack.

WOW thank you everyone for the suggestions! I'm writing these all down to show him tonight!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Ok some more unusual ones for you:
Jolie
Johanna
Jude
June
I really like J names actually! But my husband isn't into them...
Jean is my mom's middle name. I also like Jade, Joy, June, Janet, Jenna, Jordan, Josie, Joyce, Juliet (although that may be too long).
Good luck!
Also, if you want to post what you are planning for a first name, people may be able to suggest ones that would work with it!

You could use Jaime or Jackie as ways to integrate either of those names into hers...

Thanks!

I love Justine and Jewel but they aren't short. All I can think of is Joy.
Oh well nevermind, now I see that you said you didn't like Jane. Sorry!
Aww it's not that I don't like it <33 It's just when I say it out loud, I don't get that little feeling you get when you know you found the perfect name, if that makes sense?
It's still on my list though, since hubby really likes it. I won't rule it out just yet

Our LOs middle name will be Joyce but you could shorten that to Joy
I really like the PP's suggestion of Jade and June.
- Melody Jade
- Melody June
Both sound really cute together I think. Jade was on my list of middle names for my LO and still really like it. I just ended up deciding Simone was better b/c it's so under used, I love it.
There are Duggar suggestions, but you all left out Jinger?! ;-)
I'd only read her name, so for the longest time I assumed that it was jing(rhyme with ring)-er rather than ginger. Poor kid either way!
ETA- My personal favorite is Joy.
