First period?

I'm almost 8 weeks PP and EBF, and have had spotting that looks suspiciously like the beginning of my period. I just started the mini pill at the end of last week. It seems kind of early for my first PP period, so is this just residual recovery blood? WTF?

I have had this twice and I also EBF. I thought I got my period at 5 weeks pp because I had stopped bleeding a week prior and this was red and had a flow like a period, but it only last a day and a half and wasn't super heavy. It happened again this week for only about half a day, but again it was red and looked like a period. I really don't think it's my period, like you said just some residual blood. I'm not on bc though, I'm not sure if the bc could make you start your period?

Break through bleeding probably. I am assuming though the pill will give you regular bleeding though.
