spit up

My son was born @ 33 weeks he is now a 7 weeks old and for a few weeks he sometimes spits up but it comes out of his nose. is this normal?

    My 33 weeker experienced similar problems. Doc said it was because he is throwing up so much so fast (due to reflux) that it is forced out of the nose. Is now on Zantac. From what I'm hearing from other mom's sounds common, but I would still check with my doc. Best of luck.

    Yep. Robbie does it every now and then, too. He doesn't appreciate it and neither do I.

    I kept the bulb syringe at the ready all the time for a while. It's gotten a little better (though it still happens occasionally) recently..
