s/o baths

DD gets her bath twice a week, I mean the whole shabang with soap, but gets wiped down everyday, but it seems that bath time wakes her up and makes her a bit fussy. The first time we gave her a bath, she was fussy and hard to put down to sleep so we figured the water was waking her up rather than soothing her and we bathe her in the morning now.

Does anyone's LO wake up rather get sleep after a bath?

Honestly, I think your baby is the norm.  I know at my babycare class they said a lot of babies don't like bath time and it can be really stressful for new parents.  And they said if that's the case, the nighttime baths aren't a good idea.  Sounds like you already figured that out!

No, mine loves her baths (very warm too!) and then nurses and then falls asleep, it's awesome. Now, if she'd just STAY asleep longer than 1 1/2 hrs. Grrr. Someday...

Whew! I thought it was a bit weird for her not to fall asleep after a bath like it seemed a majority of Oct. babies do. She doesn't mind the actual bath part, she likes the warm water on her skin, but it's the aftermath that seems to bother her.

DD hates the bath however we found she does ok with showers but it takes both DH and I to give her a shower.
