  • 1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?

Until last week, my husband would wake me on his way out to work.  Lately, I have such bad hip pain while I sleep that I only sleep in intervals anyway.

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?

My friend just dropped her dog off, so I have furry company.  Also, friends are coming over and bringing dinner tomorrow night.  I am going to put on REAL clothes and makeup at try to feel normal!!

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?

My husband ordered "Belly Buds", they arrived last night.  So I will have sticky headphones on my belly so the baby can listen to music, I guess.  I just hope my husband doesn't think I will be playing Rush, as he would!!

    4.  Updates & Vents

Nothing today - in a good mood.

  • 1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?  I wake up to everything.  I've been up since 5am for no reason... I don't exactly have a busy day ahead :)2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?  A couple of visitors, time with DH... better food cause he'll be home to take care of that.3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?  No regrets, but it's not necessary anymore: I bought a maternity winter coat for my Thanksgiving trip to the east coast... since that's not happening, I wear my coat around the house, as a blanket, etc.4.  Updates & Vents I'm still having trouble asking for things.  I'm fine asking DH, but everyone else I feel guilty (poor DH).
PCOS, Hypothyroidism, a ton of IVF... finally it worked => a rough pregnancy => my sweet, sweet son born at 29 weeks 1 day Lilypie Premature Baby tickers
  • 1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?
Wake up when my husband's alarm goes off around 7:15-7:45.  I used to get up at 5am at the latest every day and feel so lazy "sleeping in" but like PP said, don't exactly have a ton to do during the day sooo...

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?
My shower is tomorrow so I will wear a dress, do make up and hair and all that "normal" stuff for the 2nd time since I've been on bed rest.  It does help make me feel human again.

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?
I purchased one of those bella bands and it just never worked for me, it didn't stay in place and made me claustrophobic so I always just kept my pants unbuttoned and wore long shirts.  By the time I needed maternity pants, I was on bed rest and have managed with yoga pants/sweats.

    4.  Updates & Vents
Spending today balancing household bills (gulp), ordering baby/dog gates and trying to attack a dozen other items on my "list."  It's amazing how, with all this time, you can still be unmotivated to do certain things.

    See you all Monday!  :)

  • 1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?  I haven't been able to wake up naturally for over 20 months now - it's either the alarm or DD waking me up these days.

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?  To be honest, there's really nothing I'm particularly looking forward to.  Just a quiet, boring weekend at home trying to not do too much.

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?  Can't say there is.  But then, we've barely bought anything.  Guess we need to get on that.

    4.  Updates & Vents:  None to report today.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • My first time!

    1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?
medical staff. I am doing BP every 2 hours now.

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?
Getting through it still pregnant. The doc said I probably have another week, and that's the best news ever.

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?
Mostly annoyed at myself for not having the nursery ready to go. The room is painted, etc but everything from the shower is still in bags, and nothing is unpacked.

    4.  Updates & Vents
none! got great news about how long I am going to be here, every day I am pregnant is a great day!

  • Happy Friday!

    1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?  I wake up at around 8:30 to my alarm...I try not to wake up too early because the day sure does drag.

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?    Just looking forward to spending time with my husband, because he's been working so late every night.

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?  Hmm..I have a great ability for justifying things, so no!

    4.  Updates & Vents- 33 weeks today and one more week until 34, which is a milestone my doctors have put a lot of weight on in our discussions :)

  • Happy Friday everyone!

    1. Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?

Oh, the medical staff. The resident who has been assigned to me comes in every morning between 615 and 645. Then an aide comes in betwee 715 and 745 to take vital signs. Finally, the nurse comes in between 8 and 830 to administer meds. The real fun happens every 3rd day, when I get my blood drawn at approximately 530. I can't WAIT to be at home so I can sleep until DH gets up, about 730 or 8!

    2. What are you looking forward to most this weekend?

That it's my last weekend in the hospital!!!

    3. Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?

Not at all. I have used everything I have purchased. I did buy one maternity shirt at Old Navy that shrank so badly it became unwearable, but it was less than 50 cents, so who cares.

    4. Updates & Vents

Barring any unforeseen craziness, it looks like I am definitely being released from the hospital on Wednesday the 23rd, the day I hit 34 weeks. I am super pumped to get home for Thanksgiving.

Hope everyone has a great, uneventful weekend!

  • 1. Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?

I wake up on my own, or by the alarm clock if I have an appointment going on.

    2. What are you looking forward to most this weekend?

Time at home with DH! I really miss seeing him when I'm home alone so much.

    3. Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?

I bought my dream diaper bag today! It was a little more than what I was planning on spending, but I LOVE it! If DH is mad, then I guess it will be my regret!

    4. Updates & Vents

I was able to get out of the house for a few hours today and get lunch with a friend. Had a GREAT time! I seriously needed that. It helps my sanity so much to get out of the house for a few hours!

  • 1.  Do you wake up naturally these days or to an alarm or medical staff?  Up on my own so far.  But Procardia starts every six hours today, so they will wake me up at 6 am tomorrow and from now on.

    2.  What are you looking forward to most this weekend?  Spending a little more time with DH and DS and possibly a visit from our puppy.  One doctor suggested it, the other isn't sure, so will explore the hospital policy a little more before the visit.

    3.  Is there any purchase you made during this pregnancy that you regret or is irrelevant?  No, we have hardly  bought a thing, the high-risk issues and idea of early delivery seems to have been a total whirlwind.

    4.  Updates & Vents  Bad news from today's ultrasound, my cervix is still measuring 0, but now I am dilated 1.5 and the baby's foot is pushing on my cervix.  Right now, I am pretty shaken up.  Still soo long to go and it's looking impossible.
