I haven't actually thrown up yet, but I have been gagging/dry-heaving/whatever. For the past week it only happened while I was on public transportation and right after I got off, so I was able to hide it at work because I would just wait until it was over to come into the office.
Now it's happening 24/7. I can usually feel the gag reflex coming a few seconds before it hits, but I don't know how to stop it. And I have a bazillion meetings today (and most days) and don't want to be dry heaving in the middle of them. I'm trying Ginger Ale but it's not doing much. I don't really have anything else in the office except what's in the vending machines. Any tips?

If I have something in my mouth or something to sip I can stop it. I always carry a water bottle or canada dry sparkling seltzer water.
Mints help or I keep little candy like starburst in my purse.
Breathing through my nose is also helpful.
My biggest issue is gagging. I don't throw up from pregnancy so I have become a master at trying to stop the heaves.
This has been me, too. I'm so afraid that it will happen in front of coworkers! It usually helps if I can sit down, stop talking, and take slow, deep breaths.
I'm going to give sea-bands a try...
