Ugh. DS spiked a fever tonight and it went up to 102+ so I thought Ibuprofin was in order. No less than 3 minutes later he puked alllll over the place. We got him in a luke warm bath, and his fever is down to 101 now, but how do I know how much he really got, and how do I give him anymore if he's vomiting? Ugh. ![]()
TIA!
Re: vomiting and a fever- how do you medicate?
Ugh. I had to deal with that two nights ago, Jakob had a fever and was throwing up.
I waited. He threw up at 2 am and I sent him back to bed. At 4 am he was still miserable but was able to keep down Tylenol.
Ibprofen is always rougher on his stomach. Even when he was a toddler, he would throw up the motrin but could keep down tylenol. Maybe try that? I'd wait awhile after his last vomiting, though.
Oh, poor baby! I would probably wait for awhile before giving more meds. Make sure he can keep down water or pedialyte first.
I hope he's better soon!
Ugh, I know this is a good idea, but poor kid.
I hope he feels better soon!
You can put Tylenol down there!?!?!?!??! How did I never know this???
Ditto. Hope it is just a quick overnight thing.
I crushed up 3mg of Zofran and he took some of it, but where do I find rectal tylenol??
