Yup I bought Sophie. I really hope LO likes or its literally going to the dogs. I'm glad though that I didn't pay full price for it. I got it off Amazon for $19.99, at BRU its like $26 or something.

Dd loved it. We actually lost one and ended up buying a 2nd one. We have a dog too and he's never tried to get it so that's good.

I bought it too.  I have several friends who swear it's the best thing ever, so I got it for the baby for Christmas.  I refused to pay full price as well.  I found it on amazon for $16.99 last week when I ordered our carseat.

DD saw it in the baby's room and took it back for herself!  I think we may have to get a second for the new baby because I didn't realize how much DD still loved it.

My mom bought the baby Sophie. The dog has been trying to take it since it came in this house.Its going to end up being a dog toy lol.

I felt bad about paying $15 on Ebay for one, but since everyone seems to love it, I guess I have to try it. Funny story, when I got it in my mail box, it was inside of an envelope, outside of its original box, then I pick it up and the thing squished and made that noise and scared me. haha I knew exactly what was inside,haha

So this might be a silly question... but whats so cool/awesome about this giraffe? I guess maybe I am behind on the times or something bc I've just never heard about this special giraffe.
I'm extra curious bc we are using neutral colors (browns and tans) and a touch of giraffes as our nursery theme. And if its cool and awesome and special then I might be interested. LOL.

The shape (of a giraffe) just makes it perfect for your LO to hold onto and to chew on.  It's not like it's something ingenious.  Just something that babies seem to all love.

We called it baby crack with DD. She loved chewing on it and playing with it. Definitely more than any of her other toys.

It's on my list to get when I get my completion coupon. DH thinks I'm crazy but she's so darn cute! I haven't heard of any child hating her. Heck, if LO doesn't like her then I'll keep her!

We got her at the shower!!  I actually had comments on our BRU registry telling people to check other places for deals!!!

I know we saw a lot of great stuff at BJ's and of course, Amazon is always my go to place.  I actually just bought our tub from there for about ten bucks less than BRU.

I'm not worried about our dog thinking Sophie is hers since she only likes stuffed toys.  Rubber toys aren't up her alley :-)

When we were visiting my parents last Christmas I found a Sophie in our attic with all our toys from when we were kids. Mum and Dad can't remember who had it first but I'm 29 and my oldest brother is 39 so it's around that vintage. DS took to it straight away and wailed when my Dad tried to take it off him to give it a good clean!!!

LO's first gift was the giraffe, and some baby legs. Neither of which I was ever going to buy. I don't really see the point of either of these items, but it was a very nice gift from someone who didn't have to buy anything, so hopefully they'll be worth it.

I just bought Sophie off amazon on sale for LO for Christmas.  People went on and on in the reviews about how great it was especially for teething, so I figured we'd give it a try!

We got that as a gift from a friend for DS1. He LOVED it. It was one of the best things for him to nibble on when he was getting his teeth. It does make our dog a little nutty but great toy!

We had heard amazing things about Sophie from all of our friends that have kids, it seemed to be the only thing they all swore by! We got one over the summer at our shower, and have since also been given the teething ring min-Sophie and the bathtime Sophie, I didn't realise there wee several different ones! Now we will just wait and see if our little girl loves her as much as everyone else's kids!
