Since our first IUI didn't work, we need to move forward and order more donor sperm. DId you use the same donor over & over if you needed more than one IUI/IVF or did you change things up?  What helped you make this decision?  I'm very torn between going ahead and re-ordering our pick since he met our criteria, or I guess mentally blaming him, and looking elsewhere.

Any advice is appreciated?

We had to switch donors for IUI#3.  DH wasn't happy that we had to switch but there are no vials available from the first donor.  The new donor has very similar characteristics.  We intend to stay with this donor until we are pregnant or there are no more vials.  We also intend to purchase additional vials for siblings.

We used the same donor. We didn't have a choice. DH is half asian. There are no half asian (filipino) caucasian donors but 3 in all the us banks. One is cmv postive, so that one was out. The other is a different blood type and a small build. So we didn't want use him. I will tell you, we purchased 4 vials of our donor. All the counts were 10-11 million, except for the last vial which was 9 million. I just knew because it was lower than all the other vials, it was a bust. It worked though. Worst count worked.

We ordered 4 vials from the same donor so that we wouldn't have to pay shipping ever time we ordered and b/c 4 IUI's are all that we plan on doing. We've only done one IUI so far and the count was 11 million. I think the bank we used has a guarantee of 10 million.
