Asking for a gift receipt on registry?

I am registering at Target and they allow you to put a little note with each item. So I was thinking about adding diapers to the registry and put a little note asking for a gift receipt for them. And explaining that baby could have a hard time with that type of diaper. What do you think? I don't want them to think that I will not be keeping the other items because I will be.

I wouldn't. No matter how you try to word that, I think it will come off as rude.

Target is really good at returning stuff on registries. So if its on there, it should be fine

You'll be able to exchange them without a gift receipt.

I registered at Target and the message thing only allows like 66 characters so you can't fit in anymore than a sentence. I would pass around word of mouth on the diapers, and I heard if people buy stuff off the registry target will use that as the receipt for exchange or store credit so thats good.

Not needed. Most of your guests will give you a gift receipt.

Make sure you know your Target's policy.  Ours will only let you return 2 items without a receipt per year even if it's on your registry.

If you have a registry, Target will allow you to return anything purchased in their store for store credit, even if someone picked it out for you and it wasn't off your registry. *MOST* stores will allow you to exchange diapers for a different brand/size.
