WTH nipples?

Walking past the mirror this morning (naked as thats how I usually sleep) and can't help but notice that my nipples seemed to have doubled in size! WTH?! They seem to have spread overnight. DH thinks its funny and isn't concerned, but I am freaking out a bit. I'm sure its normal but I just have to know...do they ever go back down? I only plan on BF until I return to work 6 weeks after LO is here, will that influence anything?

Is it your nipples that have spread, or your areolas? Either way, they usually will return to normal or at least pretty close. Mine did after DD.

my areolas pretty much tripled in size by week 10 of my pregnancy. They also turned DARK brown. Had I not been taking pregnancy tests just about every week I would have known instantly I was pregnant just by the change in my boobs.

Areolas, should have put that. Nipples still normal size - I was in need of a bit of an anatomy lesson. Thank goodness they go back somewhat! Not something I really wanted to ask my family hehe
