How much have you spent? We're at $470 including cloth diapers. It seems like a lot to me... mostly cause I have been trying to budget (I know its not that bad!). We bought our crib, car seat, rocking chair, change table used so that helped a lot. My coworkers are having a shower for me in 2 weeks so that will help too. If there is a lot of stuff I'll leave it and see if we really need it (we have the essentials) ...
Re: budgets and such...
I'd say you're doing pretty gosh darn awesome!
I haven't really totaled up what we've spent but I know it's way over that. We're not having a shower so we've been buying it all ourselves. I haven't really gotten anything used...but haven't gone overboard either (tons of coupons and cutting on the things we don't think are neccessary). We bought the crib new but got a used dresser for free and bought a used piece of furniture for our changing table. DH is making a bookcase too.
Wow--I'm really impressed--that is a great number. We are having #2 so we are not really buying too much this time around since we have everything we need from #1 and it's still good/safe. But I think with baby #1 we were well into the thousands when you factored in furniture, clothes, gear, stroller, etc. Granted we did buy some pretty expensive items, but we still had two showers where we received lots of gear/clothing too.
Way to go!!
Will baby #3 be another girl?

That's doing really well!
We had to buy a new crib, crib sheets, a few newborn clothes and also a bunch of new furniture for our 2 year old's new room... he kept his crib as it converts to a toddler bed and full bed later, but we got a dresser, paint for his walls, an activity mat rug, and some storage bins for a cupboard for his toys. We also had to get a new dresser for DH because we had to re-arrange our room to fit in some of the office things that were in the den- which is now DS's new room! So the total cost was about $900. Ouch. And we may need to invest in a double stroller still...
When we bought new everything for DS when he was born we spent close to $2500... luckily we got a nice big tax return that year!!
I think that we are at about $700, maybe less. Car seat, PnP, bouncer = $245, changing pad, boppy, pump + accessories, pacifiers, bottle sterilizer, swaddle blankets, sheets, jackets, sleepbags, more small stuff.. = $400
We were given the crib at our shower, bassinet was from SIL. We still need to get a dresser, stroller, and monitor. The dresser is the only thing we really need asap though.
I think that's how we did it when expecting our 1st. Spreading out the purchases really helped!
