What is it a nn for? Francesca? Frances?

I think Frankie is an adorable nn on a girl. But I don't like any of the full names that I can think of. Any others?

I've only heard it as a NN for those two. I really don't like it. It reminds me of a fish or a dog or something.

Its ok as a NN not a stand alone name on a girl.

My son's NN is Frankie. But his name is Ezra. The nn was given to him  by our daughter, we called him frankenstien a couple times because he had a crazy mullet as a baby and it just stuck, she has called him Frank/frankie ever since!

I actually really like Frances. But yeah, Frankie would be a NN for Frances, Francesca, Francine, etc.

Yes! The reason I ask is because I subbed in an elementary class recently where one little girl was named Frankie. I just didn't know if it was a nn or not. It was sooo cute on her...totally suited her!
