I like the sound of it, but for the spelling, I think using a J is better?  But what do I know?

I agree- the spelling is definitely not as pretty as the name sounds. I like it better spelled better with a J.

I really like both Giuliana and Juliana--beautiful!  Are you or DH Italian?  If not, I'd probably wonder initially why you chose the Italian spelling when there is an English equivalent, but that would only be momentary.  Great choice!

Yes, we are Italian so we prefer this spelling. I don't like the J spelling at all.

The spelling kills it for me.  I know how to pronounce it, but I will always read it Goo-liana, and it looks (and in my head sounds) horribly unattractive.  Also, it reminds me of Julia Goolia (no idea of the spelling on the character's last name).

It's a lovely name but, unless you're Italian or have a strong Italian heritage, this spelling makes me think you like traditional names but would secretly like to spell them kre8ively.

I think I am just used to seeing it with a J. But if it flows nice with your last name and your ARE italian, go for it!

If you are Italian and have an Italian last name go with Giuliana especially if you live in an area with a high Italian-American population. My DD is Juliana. I liked the Giuliana but I am not Italian and we live in MS so it would have been mispronounced all the time.

Giuliana, both name and spelling are fabulous.

Giuliana Rancic is a current celeb with that name, so it's also not terribly unfamiliar.

i love it. people are retarded if they can't figure out how to say it. my best friend's daughter is giulia and i think it's such a lovely change from the typical j.
