My LO tends to make a clicking / popping sound when she is sucking, and I'm not sure why. I think I have a pretty strong let down reflex because sometimes she has milk in her mouth and pops off and then I'm also dripping milk or there's milk streaming down her face. I don't know if this could be her way of trying to slow it down or what? She seems to be getting enough by input and output and she seems content. I just don't know if this is something I should worry about or just let her keep at it?!
Re: Clicking sound while feeding
same here! LC in the hospital noticed the clicking and checking the tongue...low and behold...severe tongue tie causing latch issues. Im not saying ur LO has a tongue tie...just that the clicking sound may be a latch issue
my dd loses her latch sometimes because I still have too much milk on one side (cna't get rid of it!) so it's sometimes overflowing and getting all over the nipple making it wet and slippery.
I'd have an LC watch you and see what's going on!
