I mispronounced this name at work today and the parents acted like I was a total idiot.  I say Hal-lee.  To me, this is a different name from Haley and it's variations (Hayley, Hailey, Haleigh etc.)

Wasn't it pronounced Hal-lee in The Parent Trap (Lindsay Lohan one?)

To me, Halle/Hallie (a name that I love) is pronounced Hal-ee, Like Halle Berry.

Hailey/Haley are prounounced Hail-ee (like the weather condition hail)

and Hayley would be pronounced Hay-lee (like what cows eat hay)
