I just had an u/s at 6 weeks because I was feeling so strange and our one baby turned out to be two! We are still in shock! I was already high risk being AMA and having lost one back in March. However my OB won't see me until I'm almost 9 weeks and my specialist won't see me until I'm almost 13 weeks. That seems a bit far out to me, is that normal? My OB doesn't do u/s in office and no mention of when I'm getting a second one. I thought I would be seen more given the circumstances but my OB seems unconcerned. I'm 7 weeks today and we lost our last baby at 7.5-8 weeks. I'm a emotional wreck right now but trying not to be for my babies. Help!
Re: Just found out it's twins!
I saw my OB for the first time at 8 weeks (I'd been under the care of an RE until 7 weeks, so I'd already had 2 u/s by then). He told me to be prepared to see him every 2 weeks for the duration of my pregnancy and he does u/s at every appointment. I'm also seeing a MFM, although I won't know how frequently until I see her for the first time next week.
I don't think I would feel comfortable with your situation, but I'm a serious, serious worry wart.
That timeline sounds pretty normal actually. I know it's really hard not be worried especially when you have a previous loss. I didn't have my first u/s until the end of my 10th week and then a quick u/s at each OB appointment which is only once a month in the beginning. I started seeing a MFM (high risk specialist) at 18 weeks with my anatomy scan, so 13 weeks is good! Did you find out if they are sharing a placenta?

Congrats!
I had originally been seeing a midwife, and didn't see her for the first time until 10.5 weeks. Since we found out it was twins, they won't care for me so I had to schedule now with my OB. I won't see her until beginning of December and will be almost 17 weeks. Just the way things have worked out for me.
Boy/girl twins born at 37w1d and 37w2d
Congrats and welcome!
I was already high risk with my pregnancy as well, for AMA and history of preterm labor/uterine irritability, and that was about the same timeline for me for dr appt and u/s.
