JM workout

So, I couldn't stand it any longer. I had to do a real workout. (Of course, I greatly modified all the ab work and jumping). I'm so tired of just walking. It's not working out...no sweating...no heart jumping out of your chest.... I missed it so much.

And still I had to stop twenty minutes in because my stomach got super hard and the baby's movements slowed down. So, I'm a bit disappointed with myself, but also didn't want to risk my LO.

  • I know what you mean! I don't feel like I'm working out unless I'm sweating and breathing heavy and walking doesn't do it. I just make sure my HR stays where it needs to be. I check it a lot. I've noticed I'm still able to get a good work out in. I do 10-15 minutes of cardio then jump to strength training then back to cardio. That helps me.

  • You can wear a heartrate monitor if you're super paranoid - 150 BPM is usually the rule of thumb for a normal, healthy pregnancy & a mom who was already physically active before she got pregnant. Usually, though, your body tells you when you need to take it easy.
  • Why had you stopped doing "real" workouts? If your doctor told you to stop...then I would and wouldn't do a "real one" just cuz I felt like it -- that was my case and it SUCKED but I also kept twins cooking til 37w4d so it was worth it! But if your OB hasn't instructed you to keep it to walking only---do what you gotta do and listen to your body momma

  • You SHOULD NOT be working out to the point where you cant talk or your heart is jumping out of your chest. here is no need to and its not good for the baby.

you really need to listen to your body!

Please modify your workouts. I did body pump all the way through, but used lighter weight.
