If you are using or used this breast pump what did you think about it? My friend gave me hers and I have my own parts to go with it from the hospital. I just want to make sure it is a good pump. I am using the hosptial one now but it is expensive to rent. Also, how long did it take for your milk to come in? My babies were born Wednesday and I started pumping Thursday. The first day I got a little bit of the colostrum but since then, nothing.
The lactaid consultant is coming to see me again, I am just frustrated. Any tips?
Re: Medela Pump in Style
I used the Pump In Style for the first 4 months.. it was pretty good, it seemed to work as well as the hospital one. Don't give up yet- I think it took me a week or so of regular pumping (basically pumping every time the kids ate) in order to get anything substantial. But from there it went up and up. For the time I was pumping anyway, I kept using that water container the hospital gave me and just refilled it over and over- drinking lots of water makes a huge difference. I also so just pumped as long as I could, even after nothing else was coming out.
Eventually my doctor also gave me a prescription for Reglan, which helped up my supply a little too.
