Food is on my mind this morning (another post coming soon!) and I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is about a week away!
What is your favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving? Bonus points if you have a recipe!
For me? I think it's got to be the pie (pecan is my favorite!) but I also love my Mom's stuffing. It's seriously the best I've ever tasted.
How about you?
Re: NC Poll: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving?
Good timing -- I just sat down to try to get my thoughts together for our Thanksgiving dinner. We're hosting this year, which will be a first! My SIL is gluten free, so I'm trying to be very conscious about that.
My favorite t-day food is definitely the stuffing. I am relieved that I get to make it this year, because my MIL always puts the giblets in it -- which totally ruins it and grosses me out!
What does "NC" stand for?
I love love love stuffing. Love it. As far as I'm concerned, the whole Thanksgiving dinner could just be stuffing.
Also pumpkin pie.

And I agree about the stuffing!!
I am totally with you on the stuffing. I actually don't really like turkey so I just eat stuffing and other sides.
Food is on my mind this morning too
I got up thinking I need to start planning my thanksgiving menu/shopping list, etc. This is the first time I'm hosting Thanksgiving...yikes! But DH's family always have an antipasto for appetizer(and I'm making it too); prosciutto, pickled veggies, olives, cheeses...yum!
This is the recipe for the stuffing I want to make. For me it's everything, the turkey, all the different colors of veggies and the stuffing...you got me excited! I'm off to plan my menu

Basically any kind of potato is my favorite. +1 if the potatoes involve some sort of cheese!
Totally unpopular thanksgiving opinions - I hate green bean casserole and I like ham better than turkey.

Stuffing is my favorite. I love it the next day on turkey sandwiches.
My menu usually looks like this: Turkey, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, stuffing, Asparagus, green salad and baked sweet potatoes. We always have a pumpkin pie and pecan pie for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Yum Yum.
Baby #2 on the way!
You're officially my new favoritest homie. I could have written that.
+2 if the potatoes have cheese AND bacon!

My mom's stuffing.
This was me last year! I made 2 pumpkin, 2 pecan, and 2 apple. It was a pie party at our house!
