I do a decent job documenting life on our blog. I really wish I had the patience to do a blurb book based off the blog about twice a year. I spend all this time on the blog, but it is just online, not something my family can really pass down or share years from now.
updates: Beatrice is awesome. She has started sleeping an occasional 5 or 6 hour block at night. She wakes up each day with a big smile and has started laughing out loud more. She thinks her daddy is super funny- I love to see them together.
QOTW: I keep track of milestones on the blog, and the monthly letters I write during the first year do a pretty decent job of documenting the whats and whens of the fun stories, etc. My grand plan is to make a blurb book one day of all the monthly letters and their monthly pictures. Other than that, I just take a helluva lot of pictures and keep them in monthly folders on my hard drive.
Update: DS is up and rocking on all fours. ohmagawd. I'm not sure that I'm ready for the added complication of having two mobile children. We are starting solids this weekend as DH will be in Germany all next week and he didn't want to miss it. I cannot BELIEVE DS will be six months old next week.
QOTW: I keep a blog and then each year I've turned the blog into a blurb book. Making the blurb books has literally taken me hours and hours and hours. But it's so worth it. I also gave copies of the book to the grandparents, which they loved.
updates: i can't remember if i posted this last week, but DS's head has dropped to the 3% in size. So we have an appointment with the craniofacial specialist at Dell after thanksgiving to make sure nothing is wrong or prohibiting growth and look at the shape. DS also slept completely through the night 2 nights ago and it was awesome! He's also turning into a big talker and blowing raspberries. So cute!
QOTW: i have a baby book that i've been really good about filling out. and we take lots of pictures and i try to have a blog but i finally it really hard to find time to work on it! i'd love to make a 1st year book for her to have but who knows if that will happen. as much as i love my digital pictures i kinda miss having albums around of everything- i need to get better about making some.
update: dd is doing great. she also had a sleep through the night night- which kinda freaks me out when i wake up. but most nights is up once to eat. we had a babysitter for her this past weekend and she did great. she's still thinking about rolling over and playing with her hands and doing great eating rice cereal. i can't wait for everyone to see her at thanksgiving!
QOTW - I have a blog but it's been really hard to update it since I've been back at work. I also have a baby book that I swore I would keep up with but I haven't been so good about it. Pictures are on Picasa, phone, and hard drive. These blurb books sound really cool, I hope to do one of those for his first year.
Updates - We are having a tough time with the nanny. She is an older, grandmotherly type and seems to do what she thinks is best and not what we ask her. We are working really hard on his napping b/c if he doesn't nap around 4 hours a day, he doesn't sleep well at night. So the other day DH had him napping at lunch, handed him off to her, he woke up about 10 minutes later and she started playing with him and bringing him to the fish tank, making funny faces, etc (he was only asleep for about 20 min). DH had just gone over the napping stuff with her in the morning. And she refuses to use the milk the way I have it set up, and also heats the milk when we've repeatedly asked her not to. I had to throw out 9 ounces yesterday b/c she heated it and put it back in the fridge. When I took it out the two bottles they both stank to high heaven. DS is great though, other than sleeping. He is laughing a ton and just this week really started babbling all the time. He's adorable, I just cannot get enough of him. :-)
QOTW - I am absolutely horrible at keeping up with ***. I've got major milestones for DD documented, but I'm just bad. I always say I'll do better, but I haven't blogged since DS was born--I have his birth story and that's it. I'm an @sshat.
Updates - I have to go back to work next week.
DS is getting so much more smiley, I think we've got his AR under control (or he's growing out of it). I'm going to miss maternity leave.

QOTW: I kept up with our blog and C's baby book pretty well, but both of those have fallen by the wayside. I'm trying to write blog entries more often but I'm ashamed to say that we don't even have a baby book for Lucas yet. But, that's because one of DH's friends sent us an awesome baby book for C after she was born but we already had one. I wanted to wait until this baby was born to buy a book because if he had been a girl, I was just going to use that one. But, he's a boy and here we are 3 weeks later and I haven't purchased one. That's going on the to-do list.
Update: I think we're in the midst of a growth spurt. All he wants is the boob. He will occasionally take a pacifier, but not from me and DH pretty much has to almost force it on him. He wants to feed all night long. He's napping right now, which is great, but I can't sleep because I have a toddler who is awake (she's reading books right now and I'm finally drinking my coffee from 8 am- MOTY). He is getting big though- over 11 lbs and 22 1/4 inches. We took him to the Dr. on Monday because he projectile vomited about 5 times over the weekend. She thinks he has reflux, which obviously isn't causing weight gain issues, but is bothering him, so he is on Ranitidine now, which he hates. But, he has been spitting up a lot less, so at least it is helping.

QOTW: I'm horrible. I blog about most of it, but I'm not very good. I have printed pictures in photo albums, and it's taken an act of God to get those done. I may or may not have just taken her "9 month" pictures last week.
Updates: She finally started pointing! It is the cutest damn thing ever. But, I think everything she does is the cutest damn thing ever.
/update: Sparky has croup. Ive had a total of maybe 5 hours of sleep since 5am Monday, most of which was last night. We were at Dell ER twice yesterday (3am and 7pm) and got to ride in an ambulance the second time. He got steroids and 2 breathing treatments last night and has been much better since then. We were kept overnight for observation and just got home a little while ago. He's sleeping comfortably now.

QOTW: I think I have kept up with her baby book just fine, I try to make it a point to add to it monthly. I'd like to make a scrapbook once the first year is over but we'll see if that happens. I take tons of pictures and post the best one on FB. I just bought an external hard drive so I can save those precious pics too.
Update: Annabelle is doing great! She's such a ham! She loves to smile, coo and babble. Her hands are always in her mouth and she loves making 'bubbles'. I can't believe she's 12 weeks already! Where's the time gone?
It was sorta terrifying, but hes so much better now. I cant even hear him breathing.
QOTW: i blog a ton. and now that i finally have a smartphone, i downloaded the wordpress app and blog from my phone. i take a ton of photos and add them to the photo gallery (linkable from my blog). i also twitter fairly often and post photos there. for video, i upload to vimeo, which also has an android app.
i just hope i'll have the same enthusiasm and energy for future kid(s). being the 4th of 5, i noticed how many more pics there are of my older sisters when they were kids, and that hurt my feelings even when i was young.
Update: DS + breastfeeding are finally going a lot smoother. he can handle my fast letdown without choking on it now. he's still skipping a night feeding and actually slept from 10 pm to almost 3am without waking for a diaper change. he's getting to be a lot more interactive, so we've been playing more with toys.
and yay! i have a daycare for him to go to when i return to work in january. it's where SIL sends her 2 y.o., which will be really convenient if we ever get stuck in traffic after work.
Update: DD is eight months old today!! She's babbling up a storm and has started to really like eating purees, as opposed to spitting most of it out. Some of you may remember that due to reflux, DD slept on a big acid reflux wedge pillow, which we later had huge trouble breaking her from. Well, tonight is night number FOUR of sleeping laying flat! She's waking up a little more in the night than she dd with the wedge, but I'm sure that'll get better with time. I'm just so glad to finally be wedge-free!!
QOTW: I'm terrible about documenting stuff. Aside from lots of photos and a few videos, I've posted one blog entry and written in DD's baby book once. In eight months. And the only photos I've actually printed were given to family as gifts. It's a little pathetic. But, there are only so many hours in the day.
