GD Question

Hi everyone!

 This is my first time posting here but I had a question.  My mother and Grandmother both were borderline GD with all their pregnancies.  I know that GD is not really hereditary BUT I am just kinda worried I might be at risk.  I am only 21 weeks and 4 days but I was curious if anyone had any symptoms or signs of GD and around what time did they start? 

I have my next OB appt on Dec 1st and will ask him about when they will test but about when is the average time?  I know every drs office is different.

    Definitely talk to your doc!  I would also ask your mom and grandma about their stories b/c I didn't think they even tested for it back then.  Are they diabetic now by chance?

    ETA: They usually do the test around 28 weeks on average.  I also wanted to add that I made the assumption that your mom and grandma were as old as mine (duh!), but they did start testing some people in the late 60s, although it wasn't widespread at all.  My grandma is 94 so they definitely weren't doing it then!  :)
