S/O Teeth

When do we need to start brushing? I guess I should ask my pedi or dentist but I thought Dr. Bump might have the right answer.

My pedi said to wipe down with a finger brush and some water before better.  She said there no reason to use toothpaste yet.

This is what my dentist said too. He gave me a little teeny tooth brush to start practicing with her. I really need to do that.

My pedi said to give her a little toothbrush and let her practice tooth-brushing when her first tooth comes in and not to worry about toothpaste.

We brush now. Jay thinks it is fun and loves his tooth brush. SIL didn't start until shortly after her LO's first birthday. I would ask your pedi and get his/her recomendation. But if you want to start now you can.

We were told we can start practicing now, but we can wait until 1 year.  I got him a little toothbrush and toothpaste set for his stocking for Christmas, so we will probably start soon after Christmas.
