I've always prefered Collin. I know they're pronounced the same, but I keep hearing a long o when I see Colin and read it in my head. Probably just me being weird.

We are naming our son Colin, we debated the same thing, Collin is the scottish version, Colin is the irish version if that makes any difference to you. My name is Alison and spelled with 1 L so we decided we liked the way it looked with 1 L as well..its all personal preference, dont stress it too much

I know someone who named her kid Collin and regrets it. She almost legally changed his name at two years old.

Colin if you want it pronounced COH-lin as in Colin Powell.
