Update about calling potential BM

So I called the potential BM and I left a horrible awkward message.

Anyway, my friend called me today at school to tell me the potential BM told her she wants to choose my DH and I for her baby. I still haven't talked to her myself. I know she was told about many other potential adoptive parents and she really likes that DH and I are both teachers. 

So I am going to try to call her again tonight, but I was thinking it might be a good idea to have some clue as to what happens next. We already have our home study and everything done on our end. My sister works in a law office that is going to do our legal paperwork. I am not sure what else needs to happen.

Help!!! I am (not very cautiously) optimistic. I know I should be reserving my excitement, but I am not doing a very good job!

Wow!! So exciting!! I would think you need to get an attorney experienced in adoption involved now. You will want to see a copy of medical records, find out what the status of the birthfather is, and make sure you do everything according to the law. Good Luck!!

I called and we are going to meet tonight. She told me she defiantly wants my husband and I to parent her child. I feel like this is finally all coming together after 16 months!

I am going to call around town to get an attorney.

Thanks for all the good luck, I will need it tonight!

the potential BM's  daughter has double ear infections so we are pushing our meeting back until Friday... Thanks for any prayers in the meantime!
