Injectables Question

Today I had my injectables class and the instructor said that the Lupron, Bravelle, and Menopur all needed to be given in fatty tissue. She mentioned that the three places they can be given are the abdomen, back of arm, and side of the thigh. My question is for those ladies who are doing injectables, where do you prefer to do your injection? What made you decide, if there is a reason, or did you just pick because you had to? Thank you! I am trying to make my decision I am just not sure where to do the injections.

Oh and the HCG trigger shot, the needle is a tad bit overwhelming to say the least. Surprise

Beta#1, 9/26/12: 719 Beta#2, 9/28/12: 1,436 Beta#3, 10/1/12: 3,446
1st u/s on 10/10/12: It's Twins! We found out on 12/16/12 that we were having two BOYS!
C & D were born on 5/16/13 at 10:46 am and 10:47 am

    Definitely the tummy! That seems to be the place with the least amount of nerve endings for me.

    Definitely the tummy.  I don't even know how you would do an injection in the back of your arm?

    My tummy. I barely even feel it.

    Also, the hCG needle you see may just be the one you use to fill the syringe. There is probably a smaller needle for the actual injection. Or at least that is how mine came from the pharmacy.

    IVF #1 w/ ICSI + PGS: Lupron/Follistim/Menopur
    ER 4/13 - 19R, 13F, 4 PGS tested embryos, 1 normal
    5/14 FET: BFP. Beta #1: 123, Beta #2: 327, Beta #3: 854

    Oh yes, I remember that training!  I had it last month and it was so overwhelming!  It I also do the injections in my belly, because that's what my doctor told me to do.  They didn't give me another option.   The belly is ok.  It doesn't hurt too much.  You get used to it after the second day or so. GL!!!  This is an exciting time!

    I do them in my stomach and it's not too bad. 

    My acupuncterist actually recommended the thigh.  He said you have less nerve endings there but I just can't wrap my head around it and have continued with my tummy.

    I have used the stomach.  It is easy to grab either sitting or standing and you don't feel much.

    I always did mine in my belly b/c that's what my Dr. recommended.  Plus it was easiest to pinch an inch :)

    TTC since 2008
    Dh:34, no issues.  Me:31, Endo, slightly hypothyroid, deformed ovary, paracentric inversion.
    4 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone +TI cycles= all BFN
    Lap in 2012 to remove large unresolving cyst discovered endo and double lobed ovary.
     6 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone IUI cycles= All BFN,
    1st IVF w/ICSI- June '13 Antagonist: Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, HcG, Estradiol, Crinone= 7 retrieved, 4 mature, 1 unfertilized, 2 abnormally fertilized, 1 normally fertilized.  2DT of only embryo and our miracle BFP.
    Our beloved baby boy was born sleeping Oct. 13, 2013 due to pROM/IC/Uterine infection.
    2nd IVF w/ICSI- Feb. '14 EPP/lupron/antagonist: Estrace, lupron, HGH, Gonal-F, Menopur, HcG, PIO, lovenox, doxy/dex.=21 retrieved, 16 mature, 15 fertilized!!  5dt of 1 blast/ 6 frozen. BFP!  Beta 1 9dp5dt:83.9  Beta 2: 11dp5dt: 145.2  Beta 3  14dp5dt: 497  Please be our sticky rainbow baby!
