Trouble TTC

People who did at least 1 natural cycle between IVFs...

How was your natural cycle?  Was it the way it was prior to IVF?  Was it longer/shorter than normal?

I haven't had a non-medicated cycle since April.  I --naively-- thought my first natural cycle after so long would be shorter since I've had so many meds in me for so long.  I was wrong!  I'm pretty sure I'm still waiting to ovulate, which is starting to annoy me since I wanted to get in at least 2 natural cycles, maybe 3, before doing IVF #3.

Thoughts/experiences?  TIA!! :)

  • Mine have been much longer!  After Aug's IVF failire, the natural cycle was 31 days which is long for me as it is typically about 25.  I did not O until CD15 when it is usually CD11 or 12.  I am on a natural cycle right now following last week's IVF failure. Today is CD 11 and my CBEFM is still registering low.  I normally would be about to O so I already know this cycle will be longer....

    TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
    5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
    OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
    DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
    DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d

Ugh, that really stinks.  I usually O between CD18 and CD23.  I'm already to CD26, and I can tell it's not happening anytime soon.  Thanks!

  • I'm curious how mine will be - May was the last time I did a cycle with no meds or birth control.   I'm not sure my body knows what to do on its own!

I actually convinced myself the Metformin would "unconfuse" my body.  Embarrassed  I guess wishful thinking doesn't end with treatment cycles :)  I hope your body remembers what to do!

Ugh! I guess I should not complain if I can O on Cd15!  It's funny what you get used to and with my DOR, I am so used to O'ing early that I don't know what "others' go through that have longer cycles. I'm so impatient. I just don't want AF to mess up my vacation next month!

I'd be antsy over making sure vacation is AF-free, too!  Hopefully it will be :)
