L has a new buddy at meal time

This guy...

He's learned that things drop and he can easily lick her face/hands while she's in her chair.  Heck, even get something off her tray if he wanted.  He hangs around very patiently waiting for it to drop.

Coming from a dog who would once eat treats and would forget the crumbs left behind because "they are too far down there for me" (he has to bend like a giraffe to get to the floor).

This morning?  Cheerios.  At least they're heart healthy!

  • Smart and beautiful boy!  Our two dogs could also eat off of the highchair if they wanted to.  For now they settle for what she drops or hands to them.  They also clean the crumbs off her seat.

Personally, I like it that way because it keeps me from having a huge mess to clean up after meals!

  • Boo and C are best buds.  When I'm feeding C, Boo goes to his bowl to eat.  Now that we are experimenting with crackers, gerber cookies and puffs, Boo knows that whatever falls is fair game.

  • My poor pup has put on some pounds since DD learned how much fun it was to feed her.  The last time I took her to the vet he commented on her weight and asked if we had changed her diet any at home.  I said I have a 1 y/o and he laughed and said well that will do it then.
