I can't believe I am typing this right now, but I am taking a break from fertility treatments until further notice. After my c/p this month I have been a complete mess and the only thing that was keeping me going was the hope that maybe the next cycle would bring us the baby that we have been hoping for.
Last night DH told me that his student loans for law school are kicking in this month and will be around $700/mo. This officially means that we can no longer afford to continue with fertility treatments. We already have used a huge chunk of our savings and DH doesn't feel like it is a smart idea to keep spending $800+ a month at the RE right now. I know that he is right, but it hurts so badly. I am at such a low point in my life and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel right now.
I am not sure how much I am going to be able to post here right now, but I am going to try because I don't want to lose my only connection with people who understand. The support and knowledge of this board has done so much for me in the past few months and please know how much I appreciate each of you. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm so sorry for your c/p loss and needing to take a break.
As for your financial break needs, I can understand that more than you know. When I married my DH and we gave "full disclosure" of debts - I learned that his law school student loan payments were over $800 a month. I joke to people when they wonder why we don't own a house that it's because we already have a mortgage payment in his law school! This is why we only can afford to do two cycles at the beginning of the year - from using FSA/HSA. When paying OOP, this to me is a life saver! But at the same time having to wait 7-8 months since last treatment is very hard. Maybe that's a option for you that will spread the cost thin over the whole year? But gives you one, two or three more cycles for IUIs?
I hope you are able to find a way to continue treatments down the road. Good luck on whatever path you end up on! And know that you can always come here to talk it out! (((HUGS)))
