Penny, not nn

Can the name Penny stand alone as a first name? DH doesn't like Penelope, but we both love Penny. I'm just not 100% convinced it will work without being a nn.

I like it a lot! I don't think it needs to be Penelope. It's cute alone. I know a Penny that's just Penny.

Contrary to what many would say on this board, having a nickname as a full name won't crush all of her potential professional goals.

I don't particularly like Penny, but I don't think it's so grossly unprofessional that it will hinder any future successes. If you both love it, use it!
