I had a friend try to teach me when I was on bedrest almost 3 years ago. ?It was a catastrophe. I admitted defeat & gave the yarn to the cats after a few days.
Real knitting totally intimidates me. I've been making scarves and hats using the Knifty Knitter looms. I am knitting dumb and I've been able to make many of our Christmas gifts with them.

Did you try watching the knittinghelp.com videos? They were/are soooo helpful for me.
You can do it - it's so relaxing once it becomes "routine"
OMGah. You're a better woman than me. I can't even count the number of times my grandmother has tried to "teach" me how to knit.
When you master it, please show me. TYVM.

The sweater and blanket DS is wearing for his baptism were my first two projects - it's so worth learning (ignore the ugly adults in the photo!)
At the risk of sounding like an old lady, I took a knitting class when I was PG with L, really helped having someone explain it to me.
Enough practice though & you'll get it.
