Learning to knit is kicking my ass.

I can cast on with the best of them, but don't ask me to actually produce a properly knitted stitch.  Not happening.

  • I had a friend try to teach me when I was on bedrest almost 3 years ago. ?It was a catastrophe. I admitted defeat & gave the yarn to the cats after a few days.
  • Baby steps!  Casting on is the first step. YAY!

Did you try watching the knittinghelp.com videos?  They were/are soooo helpful for me.

You can do it - it's so relaxing once it becomes "routine" :)

  • OMGah. You're a better woman than me. I can't even count the number of times my grandmother has tried to "teach" me how to knit.

When you master it, please show me. TYVM.

  • Real knitting totally intimidates me.  I've been making scarves and hats using the Knifty Knitter looms.  I am knitting dumb and I've been able to make many of our Christmas gifts with them.  Yes

  • man Pinny and Bubs...you ladies are turning into Grannies on me;)

:::this coming from someone who couldn't knit, got frustrated and now the ball of yarn is my kitties playground:::

  • bubs-   seriously stop torturing yourself and go to the knit shop.  You will learn how to knit in about 30 mins.   for real.
  • The sweater and blanket DS is wearing for his baptism were my first two projects - it's so worth learning :)  (ignore the ugly adults in the photo!)

  • At the risk of sounding like an old lady, I took a knitting class when I was PG with L, really helped having someone explain it to me.

Enough practice though & you'll get it.
