Today was C's first day in the 1 year old room.

For real, where has the past year gone?!!?!  I had to buy him a nap mat and everything.  My child sleeps on a nap mat!  Waaaaaa. Crying

I received a call from DCP earlier that he had a good morning and loved "pillow corner" which is basically a corner filled with fluffy pillows and pillow pets.  BUUUUT, he also hit his head and has a small carpet/brush burn on his head.  They attempted sweet potato fries, but he wasn't having it, so he had pureed sweet potatoes instead. 

Oh, and I was 2 minutes late picking him up last Thursday after a craptastic day and I have to pay $5.25 for 2 minutes.  Geeze!  I already told my boss that unless he buys me a private jet, me working past 5:45pm is not an option. 

All in all a good day, but I can't get over this nap mat thing.  I didn't sleep on a nap mat until kindergarten!

    (He stays on the mat? This is one of my biggest DCP concerns...)

    Our DCP charges $5 a minute for overages. EEK!

    DD has been in the 1's for 1.5w. I was surprised when they told us the requirements - nap mats, no bottles. DD is adjusting but she still cries every morning. Boo for extra fees - ours has a 15m grace period thankfully.

    Sadness for his little head! I hope the rest of his day was better!

    And seriously-$5.25? I hope your boss understands you have to leave!

    Aww,  glad he had a good day overall!  My DD sleeps on a nap mat too (or so they tell me ;) )

    Yep.  His mat is some super fancy thing my mom bought at a boutique and has an attached pillow and blanket.  DCP said he laid down on the pillow and everything.  I would have loved to see this! 

    And I suppose I should complain about my overage charge -- $5 a minute would make me cry!  Although he's been there almost a year and I've only been late the one time.
