Spelling of Annalee

We both like the name Annalee Rae, but do not want it pronounced like "Hannah".  We would like to spell it with an "O" as in "online"--Onalee, Onalie, etc. Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.  Thanks!

Just don't do Analee. Unless you really want to name your kid Anally. All of the Annal- and Anal- spellings make me think "anally" (Annalee included).

Thanks for all the "anal" referances, I hadn't thought of that; which makes the spelling to begin with an "O" even more important so that it is pronounced "on-a-lee".

I like the pronunciation you're going for, but I think the "O" looks a little odd, plus I can see people trying to pronounce it OH-na-lee instead. I like pp's suggestion of Annelie.

I love this name, and I like it spelled Analeigh.  

 

It's funny that only people on this board ever say anything about "anal".  I haven't ever heard anyone in real life refer to this with names that include those letters in that order.

This is the closest spelling to the way we want to pronounce it.  We like the idea of her name beginning with an "O"  Is it crazy to spell it Onalee? or Onnalee?
