The girls have their first birthday a whopping week before Christmas. I need ideas for myself and for family if they ask. Doesn't have to be just toys. Anything that was a great idea for kids 12 mos and up is helpful. Thanks!!
My boys LOVE obstacles, so we got them a tent to crawl in/out of, which they really like. My sister also bought them a ball pit which they mostly just get in/out of. They love Mickey right now, and got a Mickey that sings the Hot Dog song, which has been a hit. They are really into books and puzzles (don't make them yet, but know they belong on the board).
What I asked for was shoes! My boys are growing so fast, and shoes are so expensive, I asked for larger sizes, and got 2 pairs ea!
They also got adorable peacoats (which aren't necessary in So Fl), but were actually used this wknd on our trip.

Our girls' b-day is a week after Christmas. Last year (1st b-day), I'd say their favorite gift was their Fisher-Price doll strollers with dolls to go in them : )
~Crystal~SAHM to Sam (5), Hugh (3), Mary & Grace (22 months) : )
Do they have blocks? My girls love their "bocks" and play w/ them everyday. They are like the giant lego kind. They also love their rocking chairs, push toys, & baby dolls. Shoes are always good too.

My girls love chasing the balls from their busy ball popper and they also love their push walker with light up toys, sounds, buttons it's vtech and I bought it at costco.
Are they in big car seats yet? You could ask friends/family to pitch in for car seats if they aren't.
Fisher Price Little People, balls, and things to push were some of DS1's favorites at one year. I'm hoping the babies don't get too many more toys! Some non-toy ideas are piggy banks, growth charts (Land of Nod has adorable ones!), contributions to college funds, clothing in their next size, and museum or zoo memberships. One thing i would just love when the babies turn one is for someone to help me compile scrapbooks or photo books - I'm going to feel horrible if they end up without any kind of photo album or baby books when I take pictures of them almost every day! A one-year photo shoot would also be awesome.

Thanks! We do have convertibles now, but damn that would have been a good idea! Bummer. All good ideas!
