Question to set my mind at east... RP from Dec. 2011 board

I have dealt with severe constipation this whole pregnancy and today, at 37 weeks (yay!), it has gotten so much worse. TMI but this morning I was pushing so hard to try to go and nothing was happening and now of course I am worried I made myself progress/at risk of going into labor when I would not have otherwise. Can this happen? You would think I would know after having two kids, but this is all new to me (being this far along). Thank you!

***Updated as of my original post this morning... went in and am dilated to 2cm. and contrax are about 8 to 10 min apart and strong.
