Trouble TTC

CD 4 heavy bleeding after progesterone and clomid

I just got home from work after a rough start to my day.  This morning things seemed normal and I went in for my CD 3 bloodwork since I couldn't get it done on Sunday.  I got to work and was at my desk for a few minutes when I noticed that I had bled through a tampon, pantyliner, and my pants onto my chair. This happened less than two hours after changing my tampon.

I am on CD 4 and took my first (ever) dose of clomid last night.  I also used progesterone supp last cycle for the first time and it extended my LP from 11-12 days to 14 days.  CD 1, 2, and 3 bleeding was normal though it was thicker than usual.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with either progesterone or clomid?  I can't believe my bleeding is this heavy on CD 4!

My RE added a PG test to my bloodwork from this morning so that we can rule out a miscarriage.  Having already experienced one, I don't think that is what happened and, of course, I pray that it wasn't.  I guess I'll know for sure this afternoon when they call me with my results.

Thanks for any insight you ladies might have.

  • Gosh!

No.  I had fairly heavy bleeding on CD 1, then pretty light for about 2-3 days.
