Funny story about Jasmine

My charge nurse said "We're getting a patient, want to guess what she's coming in for? Her name is Jasmine ____"

Other nurse: "uhh she's a prostitute who got an STD that lead to sepsis"

Yup that is the first impression of the name Jasmine I guess! I couldn't stop laughing.

Oh and I know this might sound mean but really, it was funny.

I don't have that connotation of the name Jasmine. I work with a Jasmine who is a really fun and smart woman. I also have a little cousin named Jasmine and she's so cute.

I don't have that connotation for Jasmine either. I think it's lovely.

Haha. Well that was a funny story but I don't necessarily think prostitute/stripper when I hear Jasmine, but I think it's because to me it is a flower. When I think stripper, I think Heaven, Carmen, Bliss, etc.

I always did think the Disney Jasmine was just a huge fancy sl--t. I don't know why, I just always thought so.

I don't either and I think the other nurse was just goofing off probably and since I've never heard anyone "guess" what someone's admitted for she guessed the craziest thing.
