Trying to Get Pregnant

bloating and ovarian pain

So now that we have been trying, I have been paying more attention to my body.  Over the last 3 months I have noticed I always seem to have a bloated feeling.  Currently (CD12), I am more bloated and uncomfortable than normal.  When I palpate my abdomen it is sore to the touch, especially near my left ovary.  I thought was I was experience prior to ttc was just ovulation pains, but now I am wondering if it is more.  Anyone else experience this or have any ideas what it might be?

PS.  I have a drs appt on the 29th.  I also experience spotting and a short LP, don't know of those are connected but thought I would add.

TIA

Re: bloating and ovarian pain

  • Please, if anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. When I google these symptoms it comes up with anything from constipation, pelvic inflam disease, or ovarian cancer. I was hoping some of you ladies on here might have experienced something similar since everyone on here is much more in tune with their bodies. Thanks!

  • Well the pain happens all month, but is worse during the time around O. I dont think its gas because of how sore I feel. I guess I am not describing it well enough... its almost like all my reproductive organs are bruised.

Haha. Ill try ;-) how do cysts affect fertility? I know most are benign... just being a worrywart I guess.

I deal with cysts and possibly may have one right now, ultra sound on Monday. Depending on how large they get or how uncomfortable it gets they can remove them. I've had it so bad I couldn't even walk. I've had two removed the one issue they talked about is scar tissue that can damage the ovary more. I've never googled TTC and cysts but I'm sure it's different for each person.

Im sorry to hear you have dealt with cysts.  I have an appt on the 29th (the earliest she could see me) so Im hoping she will give me some answers.  I know I have experienced these symptoms for awhile, just never thought it was anything until trying...

  • I agree it may be a cyst.  I went in for my ultrasound prior to starting Clomid and have one the size of my ovary.  She asked if I've been having any pain and I actually have been having sharp pains on and off that I didn't think much about becuase I thought they might be ovulation related.  Cysts can go away on thier own or you can be put on birth control to reduce/get rid of them.  If that doesn't work they can surgically remove them.  Hope this helps!

Sorry, I hope that things turn out well. And there are options so it isn't a lost cause! :) GL
