Move coffee table? WWYD?

We have a coffee table in the middle of our family room, which has now become a play room.  DD is starting to crawl under it to get the book and pull herself up on it.  The problem is, is that she is always getting stuck, bumping her head and chewing on the corners.  I'm not concerned about the table and what happens to it, but more about her.

Would you move it in the basement for a bit and just continue to work around it?

We sold ours on craigslist....it was my parents before it was ours, and that coffee table had been with me since I was 8, so it wasn't worth saving

We will get a new one once our kids are 3 or so....just in the way until they can actually color on it and everything.  It has actually helped us by making us eat at the table vs. the couch too

We have a beautiful marble top coffee table its huge with cherry wood base that has ornate carvings in it. I am very attached to it. DD has smacked her head twice on it in the last week. I don't know what we are going to do. There is not way to baby proof it. Sorry that wasn't any help I know just some empathy.

We got rid of ours when DD1 was about 9 months old.  It had sharp corners and she kept hitting her head on it. I was pg again and figured it would be at least a year before I wanted to use it again, and we didn't have space to store it.  I do kind of miss it now that DD1 is 2 and DD1 is 13 months.  I think moving it to the basement is a good idea for you right now.

Ours just got booted to the basement in favor of an ottoman/coffee table that has storage in it and padded edges/corners. It was about $250 from Costco.com, and completely baby friendly.

Once DD could climb on the sofa she thought it would be fun to jump from the sofa to the table so we took ours apart and are storing it under our bed.

We moved ours to the basement.  DD started really crawling at 8 months old and would zoom right into it.  Now she can crawl straight to the couch, pull up and cruise along, which she loves.

I put foam rubber on the corners and so far so good.  She loves to bang on it.  They make lovely kits for softening the edges and they don't damage furniture. They also aren't very expensive.

Ours is a glass top coffee table so it was moved to another room.  Now that it is gone I really don't miss it at all.

I like this idea too as I could use it for her toys.

We moved ours to the. Basement and got an ottoman at Target. Cheap, has soft edges, looks nice, holds toys and is holding up to baby drool

When DD started pulling up we put ours in the attic.  We don't have room for it anyways with her toys, but I was terrified she'd hit her head on it.  Ours was a glass top and the top was wider than the base, so it made it a prime place for her to get hurt.  I'm so glad we moved it.  We have so much more space.
