Our OB was 99% certain that our new LO will be a girl, thanks to some clear u/s shots of the goods. I'm starting to stock up on girl clothes, shoes, etc. And, since this will most likely be our last child, I'm also trying to part with most of DS's baby clothes (except for a few favorites).
I can't help think what might happen if another boy pops out though & nearly all the baby items I have are for a girl.
Irrational fear or no?

~All AL'ers welcome~
I bought all the girlie stuff I could find with both babies. Then got really anxious at the end of my pregnancies that they would be wrong. Both times they were right.
My best friend with her third pregnancy, they said girl at the a/s they even typed it on the ultrasound. Later she had some bleeding and had another u/s at 28 weeks they said boy. It turned out to be a boy. Luckily she had a boy and girl already they are all very close in age. So she hadn't really bought much.

I'm with scout: seeing girl parts = girl. Not seeing a penis =/= girl.
I had my a/s at 18 weeks a freaked out that I would end up having a boy who had to wear dresses. Another u/s at 32 weeks confirmed girl.
Congratulations!!

"And where was I before the day that I first saw your lovely face? Now I see it everyday and I know that I am the luckiest."
C gave us a clear shot at our a/s (which was at 20w) so we knew he was a boy. I'm going to go ahead and agree with Scout, if your tech says she sees girl parts, I would feel pretty confident, but if she said that just because she didn't see a penis, then I wouldn't be so confident.
Maybe only wash a couple of gender neutral things if you are still hestitant and wait until she's here to wash the girly stuff, that way if your tech was wrong, you can return for blue stuff.
