Christmas card question

Every year I generally get a big Christmas card and then put a photo card inside.  This year (as I posted on the Nest), I haven't found any cards I love, so I'm thinking of just doing the photo cards, even having Shutterfly (or whoever I go with), send them out.

Any plus or minus to doing this?  Have any of you done it?  And is it reliable (like them shipping it out on time etc)?  Thanks!

I guess the plus would be you not having to do anything. But the minus would be your friends and family receiving the most impersonal Christmas Card ever I'd at least address them yourself. Start now and do a few a night.

I responded on your TN post about Vistaprint... same concept... design and order online.  I have purchased several prints from Shutterfly too (but no cards) and was happy with the quality.  I can't remember how long shipping took, but if you're worried, you can always pay extra for faster shipping.  You can also get photo cards from WalMart, Sams, Target and other places too... that may save a little money and stress about shipping.

They don't have to be impersonal... you can order folding cards with blank inside or postcard style with a blank back... then write your notes.

Personally, I love the photo cards more than plain boxed sets... I am always in awe over how much my younger cousins and friend's children grow over the year... if it weren't for their photo cards, I might go years without seeing a picture of them (unfortunately) as my family lives all over the country.

I have ordered cards (christmas, thank you, invitations) from vistaprint, shutterfly, and walmart.  I have been happy with them all.  I have never had them send them out though.
