Not that their clothing was ever high-quality but I always found it to be fine. Lately it seems like everything I buy from there has issues after 2 or 3 washings. Tiny holes in the material, the material thins out... ruffles came off of DD's shirt - Have only washed it once. I think I'm going to quit shopping there.

Re: Anyone Else Think Old Navy's Quality is on the Decline?

I agree. I stopped buying clothes there two years ago.
I do think the kids stuff holds up just fine, though.
Yep, Banana and Gap too. Which shouldn't be a surprise since they're all owned by the same company. DH loves Banana and I keep complaining that each time I buy something, there's a hole in it after 1-2 washes. Then we end up there on date-night while waiting for a table at the restaurant next door and I buy something just to try again, and surprise surprise, hole after 1 wash and I get so annoyed!
I'm done w/ them. Which is too bad. But it's ridiculous when you wash or wear something once or twice and then it's littered with holes.

their quality has ALWAYS been horrible.
I will get a pair of flip flops there and that is about it.
I hardly ever shop at ON since there aren't any around here. I was really disappointed in some maternity tops I bought there. They stretched out weird after the first washing. I had pretty good luck with their maternity jeans. I really liked their maternity hoodies. They were pretty thin compared to regular hoodies, but I was always hot during my pregnancy and missed wearing hoodies.
I've been having trouble with quality at a lot of places. I keep having clothes rip at the seams while washing.

Are you talking about those $5 shirts, I bought them in every color, they are so perfect...
There kid stuff seems to wash okay...not a big fan of their pants.
This. I shop used clothes that are a lot higher quality.

I used to work at Gap and if you held Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy stuff up you could tell the obvious difference in quality in that order with a very steep drop off between Gap and Old Navy. I'm not sure if the quality has gone down from that time since their clothes rarely ever fit me. I have to buy large shirts because of bust size but then the whole shirt just looks like a baggy sack (I think they are very square or something), none of the jeans fit at all. I do have a few work out items and pj pants from there but that's about it.
I have no issues at all with their baby clothes, but then again baby clothes are grown out of quickly so maybe there just isn't enough time.
I feel like ON is really made for the junior highish body- before the boobs and bigger and the hips get wider. It just doesn't seem like it's made for adults... kind of like aeropostale?
I think you are on to something. Every time I see that bowling commercial with all the women wearing the jeans I laugh to myself thinking that they must have custom tailored them because ON jeans never fit like that. For the average woman though, if you are on the hunt for cheap jeans why on earth would you go to the trouble and expense to tailor them?
