Did you respond the same?

Have a question for those of you who have been on clomid on multiple cycles. Did you generally have the same results with how many follices matured? I'm just starting my third cycle all together and my second on 50 mg. Just wondering what to expect. I had one mature follice and almost two other mature ones last time. I just don't wanna see this cycle be cancelled cuz I have too many follices. Thanks in advance.

I did 50mg all three times.

Cycle 1 - 2 mature follies

Cycle 2 - 2 mature follies

Cycle 3 - 3 mature follies

So not much difference.

I've never taken clomid but I have done 3 rounds of femara. I've noticed that I respond similar but a little slower each time. This last time I still had 3 follies but they were later than normal and almost not mature enough to count.

okay good, thanks ladies. I guess I just had this image of the more clomid you take the more it will work, and I don't want to have to cancel anything!

I'm also on femara not clomid, but on the same dosage, I've had 2, 2, and 3 mature follicles.  I don't know if that helps you at all.  But GL on this cycle!

I know I'm the exception but the more clomid I took the less I responded. Round 1 100- 1 18 Round 2 150- 1 11 then turned to 26 over night Round 3 200- 1 9 cancelled It was obvious that did not respond well to clomid at all. Good luck.

Pretty much, all six cycles with 50mg: 4 cycles with 2, 1 with 1 and 1 with 3.

I did two cycles of Clomid (three rounds). The first cycle was perfect, but then I had some problems with the second cycle.

Clomid 1 (50 mg, CD3-7) - 9mm lining, 1 follie (21 mm) on CD12

Clomid 2 (50 mg, CD3-7) - thin lining, lots of teeny follies on CD12. Added 100 mg for 5 days (CD12-17). Thinner lining, 2 follies on CD19.

My RE told me that the more Clomid you take, the worse your lining can get. Obviously this is not the case for everyone, but it was definitely my experience (my lining actually shrank a full mm between CD 12 and 19).

I know your primary question was about follies, but that changed for me as well. The first cycle I had one perfect follie after 50 mg of Clomid... the second cycle, I needed an extra dose to get two (so obviously I wasn't producing too many, even with extra Clomid). Unfortunately, I think it varies for everyone.

Here's hoping that this cycle of Clomid has some great results for you!

2nd cycle 50mg - no response

3rd cycle 100mg - 1 follie

4th cycle 100mg - 1 follie

So they varied for me a little. GL on this cycle!!

Cycle 1 @ 25mg: 1 follie at 17 went back the next day and it was 19

Cycle 2 @ 50/25/50/25/50 1 follie at 20

Cycle 3 @ 50mg 1 follie at 23

I trigger each cycle with Ovidrel and P4 at 7DPO for cycle 1 and 2 were both 17.

1 follie

2 follies

All cycles were back to back.

I did clomid 3 different time and got 3 different results.  Even as the dosage increased or changed, sometimes I didn't have as many follicles. 

Round 1 = 2 follicles

Round 2 = 3 follicles

Round 3 = 2 follicles

*I guess they are all pretty close to one another

Round 1: 100mg: 2 Follies at 20mm/ Lining at 8mm

Round 2: 100 mg: u/s on Monday.

My NP said that she didn't want to see 3 follies, because it could result in multiples.
