Hemoglobin Levels Low

Ok so I am super nervous. I have had a really great pregnancy so far. I am 27 weeks tomorrow. I have felt great other then the typical exhaustion here and there. I had my glucose screening last week and received my results yesterday. My sugar levels were normal and yay for not having to go back for 3 hours worth of testing and 4 needles. I still have quite the bruise on my arm from one needle. But anyhow; the nurse informed me that my hemoglobin is low and my OB advises me to start taking an iron supplement in addition to my pre-natal vitamin. I have read that pregnancy anemia is pretty common but then again I have also read that it can cause low birth weight, your baby to be born iron deficient, preterm labor, still birth and infant death! Well not all of that completely scared the crap out of me!!! I am so in love with my little baby thus far and only want to insure that she/he is and remains healthy. Any words of wisdom or is there anyone else dealing with such issues. Thanks in advance for your time and attention to my post
