Does your LO sit for books?

Mine will only sit for touch and feel books and really really colorful books. Other than that, that is it.

If your LO sits for books, have they always?

Bennett will for most books.  He doesn't really like to touch/feel them, but loves to try and suck on them!

For the most part yes.  They are REALLY short books and he usually likes to just turn the pages and such, but he will not try to wiggle away or anything

Yes. He loves being read to.

Sitting is not so much of a problem.  Getting him not to try to eat the books - there is the challenge :-D

She loves to be read to.  She'll sit there nicely, then when you get to the end of the book, she freaks out until you start again.

Nope she will rip the page out before I can even start reading. She is so busy she doesn't sit still for a second.

DH and I have been reading to our boys since they were 2 weeks old and they love books.  I take them to Baby Bookworms at our local library by myself and they sit and watch the librarian read the books and sing songs.  If they get cranky at home we just pull out a book and read and they calm down.  Of course they like to flip the pages and chew on their board books and bath time books,  When we read to them they get really excited about the pictures and sound effects that we make.

E used it sit really well for stories. Now unless she can chew on the book, she's not interested!

Nope! She squirms, squeals, grabs at the pages and tries to nom them, fusses and twists until I put her down. I wonder why I bother half the time, it's not like she can even hear me reading with all the fuss! I hope she gets more patient as she gets older.

Nope - DS tries to eat them.  I was asking my mom and she said my brother would never sit and read books with her either.  He would rather be on the ground moving around and getting into things.

It depends on the book, but in general yes. That's the only time she sits still.

For a while, at bedtime. He LOVES to turn the pages, so I think that helps.
