Parenting after a Loss

NBR: Powdered detergent

So MIL thought she was doing us a favor by buying us powdered detergent she found on sale.

Sign #1 that this was going to be a pain was when DH looked over in the van and asked "how much is 9kg in pounds?"

I get the almost 20lb pail of detergent and I'm about to do a load when I realize uhm yeah its in a different language. I would have been fine if it had been in German, Spanish, or French. I can read all 3 of those languages. Nope turns out it's in farking Vietnamese.

Some google translating later it says roughly "use 2 tbsp per load, separate like colors"

does 2 tbsp sound right?

Re: NBR: Powdered detergent

  • 2tbsp? That must be some ?ber concentrated detergent. I use concentrated detergent for high efficiency washers and the little cupe they provide us still probably around 1/3-1/2 cup

I don't know if its the right translation I can't find a website to tell me in english since it appears to be almost exclusive to Vietnam.

  • We use 1/4 c. of conc. liquid for most of our laundry.  2 T. of the powder seems like it would only do a small load.  You might give that amount a try on a load of towels & see what you think.

  • I'll be 100% honest. Powdered detergent confuses me. I have no idea what would be the right amount.
