...To exercise again? I have felt to incredibly sick with 'morning' sickness to do anything other than work and be a mom and a wife. I felt tons better by 12 weeks with the other 2 pregs, so I'm counting on the same thing with this one. I'm going to keep it simple and ease back into it.
Re: Anyone else wait till 2nd trimester?
I missed quite a few training sessions first tri and/or cut them short because I was gagging or throwing up. I've had an awful cold the past 2 weeks so I'm taking a break until after I get back from vacation in 2 weeks.
I'm gonna "ease on back into it as well." I miss my spinning classes!!
btw, I still have m/s... blech.

I did. I had to stop during IVF and then I was on pelvic rest and couldnt workout do to a hematoma I had in my uterus.
then second trimester came and the hematoma was gone by 12 weeks and I had all this energy. I only walked, lifted weights and yoga. I workout out until the day I delivered.
listen to your body. its not going to hurt if you stop for the 1st trimester.

I'm a bit late jumping in here, but I wanted to chime in --
Pre-pregnancy, my husband and I were doing the INSANITY workout... I immediately stopped doing that when I found out I was pg .. really, it was about a week before I found out that I stopped because I was so exhausted all I could think about was sleeping all the time...
Throughout my first trimester, I did yoga one time. I feel so lazy and gross because I have been eating like crap (despite my best efforts, my body has not been allowing me to eat much in the way of healthy foods, but I am trying!). To go from working out intensely every morning to nothing has not been great to say the least, but I have been dealing with m/s and exhaustion and just felt like I had to listen to my body...
that being said, I am 13 weeks now. I am making it my goal to do AT LEAST yoga a few times a week, and maybe throw some long walks and try to throw some time of low impact cardio in here and there. I realize I am only going to continue to gain weight, but I want to feel healthy again!!
Funny enough, I am going back to my Zumba tonight. I just hit my 13th week (woot!) and haven't done it in about 8 weeks.
Like you, I struggled with morning sickness, but it's really gone away in the last week and I feel just better in general. So, we'll take it slow, check my heartrate and just have some fun.
I am waiting for the other women in the class to try to give me a guilt trip (all done with love) and tell them I have a good reason.
