  • ((hugs))

    it's time to switch over to the iphone.  there's an app called "find my phone" - I have a feeling I'm going to be using it more times than I'd like to admit (I made MH put it on his, obvs I wouldn't be able to access it from my phone).

    there's a GPS function on it so it will locate your phone and will make it ring even if it's on vibrate - which is awesome since mine's on vibrate most of the time (that's what she said).

  • Ok ok ok, everyone can just relax a little bit.... Because I found it!!!! I looked 14 times in the car, and then I went out to look one last time, and there.it.was. In between the passenger seat and the door. I know everyone is relieved and will rest a little easier tonight knowing this information.

  • It appears my luck has changed. Blackberry submerged in water at park today. IPhone in future.

    Take the battery out.  Put phone submerged in a ziploc bag of {uncooked} rice for 12-24 hours.

    And you're welcome.

    If it still doesn't work after 12-24 hours, give it another day or two.  DH had a cell phone get completely drenched and we left it in rice for a couple days before it would finally turn back on.  {FWIW - his screen was hosed but the phone at least powered on.}

  • Make sure you get insurance with the iPhone, doesn't sound like you are too lucky in the phone dept:)

  • Thanks.... I'm not due for an upgrade until next October. Sigh. But I found out that I DO have insurance on this one! Come on rice, work your magic!
