I'm freaking about my HCG trigger shot.

I have to get it at 11 p.m. tonight and I'm seriously freaking about it.  What if my DH misses or doesn't get the needle in right?

ARGHH!!!

Who has been through it?  Is it awful??

Its not much different than injects.  You will be fine!  Just relax and best of luck

I actually did mine myself (DH is *terrified* of needles) and was so afraid I would miss. I didn't. I took an HPT the next morning to verify that there was in fact some trigger in my system and I had bloodwork done that showed my hCG was 250! As for the shot itself, it was no worse than the stims. Just a little scarier because the needles is so long. But it didn't hurt at all, just a little sore afterwards. Good luck!

What do you guys mean by "miss"?  I just shoot mine in my stomach where my other shots go.  I hope im not doing it wrong, lol.

Some trigger shots are IM, not all are sub-Q. Maybe that's what they mean by missing?

I was supposed to do my Novarel IM, which would be in the a$$.  It required quite a bit of contorting on my part, so I wasn't sure it was going where it was supposed to go. But really, the gluteus is a pretty big target. I probably would have had to try pretty hard to miss.

Oh boy.  I dont know if i would have the steady hand to get back there and do it myself!  I have enough of a hard time getting over being a chicken and shooting my stomach, lol.

I did mine myself mostly...DN helped a bit. We watched the online tutorial at village fertility pharmacy online ..I think that was the website and my RE gave us an instructional DVD>

 it was over in 2 seconds!
